How to solve
This quiz mixes questions from different lessons, like a real test. Read each question carefully: the lesson name in front tells you what kind of problem it is. Check your answers, then practise the lessons where you made mistakes.

💡 How to solve: Translations on the Coordinate Plane
A translation slides every point of a figure the same distance in the same direction. Moving right adds to x and moving left subtracts; moving up adds to y and moving down subtracts. So "4 units left and 3 units up" is the rule (x, y) → (x − 4, y + 3), and A(2, 1) moves to A′(−2, 4). The image has the same size, shape and orientation as the original figure.

💡 How to solve: Volume of Cylinders, Cones & Spheres
Use Cylinder: V = π × r² × h, Cone: V = 13 × π × r² × h, Sphere: V = 43 × π × r³, with π ≈ 3.14. Round your answer to one decimal place.

💡 How to solve: Congruence & Similarity with Transformations
Translations slide, reflections flip over a line, and rotations turn a figure about a point — all three keep the same size and shape, so the image is congruent. A dilation changes the size but not the shape, so the image is similar. Follow a sequence of transformations one step at a time.

💡 How to solve: Surface Area of Spheres
The surface area of a sphere is 4 × π × r². Square the radius, multiply by 4, then by π. Radius 3: 3 × 3 = 9, 4 × 9 = 36, and 36 × 3.14 = 113.04 square units, or 36π. If you are given the diameter, halve it first.

💡 How to solve: Volume: Changing Radius & Height
Volume is proportional to height: double the height and the volume doubles. The radius is squared, so if the radius triples the volume becomes 3 × 3 = 9 times as large. A cone holds one third of a cylinder with the same radius and height. To find a missing height, divide the volume by πr².

💡 How to solve: Angle-Angle Similarity & Similar Triangles
Two triangles are similar when two angles of one equal two angles of the other (angle-angle, or AA). The third angles then match as well, because the angles of every triangle add up to 180°: find the third angle before you compare. In similar triangles, matching angles are equal and matching sides are in proportion. To find a missing side, write a proportion with matching sides: if 69 = 8x, then 6x = 72 and x = 12. A line drawn parallel to one side of a triangle cuts off a smaller triangle that is similar to the whole triangle.

💡 How to solve: Lines of Best Fit & Predictions
A line of best fit y = mx + b follows the trend of the data. To predict, substitute the x-value into the equation. The slope m is the predicted change in y for each 1 unit increase in x, and the y-intercept b is the predicted value when x = 0. To write the equation, pick two points on the line, find the slope, then find b.

💡 How to solve: Parallel Lines & Transversals
When a transversal crosses two parallel lines, corresponding, alternate interior, alternate exterior and vertical angles are equal. Same-side interior angles, and angles that form a straight line (a linear pair), add up to 180°. So every angle in the picture equals either the given angle or 180° minus it.

💡 How to solve: Cube Roots of Perfect Cubes
The cube root of a number is the number that, used as a factor three times, makes it: ∛27 = 3 because 3 × 3 × 3 = 27. A negative number has a negative cube root: ∛(-64) = -4 because (-4) × (-4) × (-4) = -64. For a fraction, take the cube root of the top and the bottom: ∛(827) = 23. For a decimal, the root has a third as many decimal places: ∛0.125 = 0.5. The equation x3 = -8 has just one solution, x = -2.

💡 How to solve: All Angle Relationships: Mixed Review
Complementary angles add to 90°. Supplementary angles add to 180°, and a linear pair (two adjacent angles on a straight line) is always supplementary. Vertical angles, across from each other where two lines cross, are equal. Angles around a point add to 360°. When a transversal cuts parallel lines, corresponding, alternate interior and alternate exterior angles are equal, and same-side interior angles add to 180°. With x in the angles, decide whether the angles are equal or add to a total, write that equation, and solve.
