Find the whole (the number the percent is taken of).
How to solve
Part = percent × whole, so whole = part ÷ percent. If 15 is 30% of a number, the number is 15 ÷ 0.3 = 50. Or find 1% first: 30% is 15, so 10% is 5 and 100% is 50.
