Rounding Decimals — Easy Worksheet 1
Grade 5 · MathSheets Name: ____________________ Date: __________
Answer each question. The same kind of rounding comes in different shapes. Always round to the place named in the question.
How to solve
Find the digit in the place you are rounding to, then look at the digit just to its right. If that digit is 5 or more, add 1 to the rounding digit; if it is 4 or less, leave it alone. Then drop every digit after the rounding place. If the rounding digit is a 9 and goes up, it becomes 0 and the place to its left goes up by 1 (4.96 to the nearest tenth is 5.0).
