Adding Fractions with Like Denominators — Easy Worksheet 2

Grade 4 · MathSheets    Name: ____________________   Date: __________

Add. Write each answer in lowest terms; write an answer greater than 1 as a mixed number.

How to solve

When the denominators are the same, add the numerators and keep the denominator: 38 + 28 = 58. Then simplify if you can: 28 + 48 = 68 = 34. If the numerator is bigger than the denominator, write a mixed number: 56 + 46 = 96 = 1 36 = 1 12. With three fractions, add all three numerators: 25 + 45 + 35 = 95 = 1 45.
