💡 How to solve: 3-Digit Subtraction (No Borrowing)
Subtract the ones, then the tens, then the hundreds. For 587 − 234: ones 7 − 4 = 3, tens 8 − 3 = 5, hundreds 5 − 2 = 3. So 587 − 234 = 353. Every top digit is big enough, so nothing is borrowed.

💡 How to solve: Adding & Subtracting Tens and Hundreds (Mixed Review)
When you add or subtract tens, only count the tens: 46 + 30 is 4 tens + 3 tens = 7 tens, so 76. When you add or subtract hundreds, only the hundreds change: 468 + 200 = 668. If the tens go past 9, trade 10 tens for 1 hundred: 480 + 40 = 520.

Put your finger on the top of a bar and slide it across to the numbers on the side: that number is how many the bar shows. The tallest bar has the most and the shortest bar has the least. To find how many more, subtract the smaller number from the bigger one. To find how many in all, add the numbers together.

To order numbers, compare the hundreds first. If the hundreds are the same, compare the tens. If the tens are the same too, compare the ones. 254 < 425 because 2 hundreds is less than 4 hundreds. 245 < 254 because 4 tens is less than 5 tens.
